Stories from rebuilt event maps

Testimonials reference real modules from App Event Signal Architecture. Voices vary — including one cautious note.

The Funnel Integrity Lab exposed that our “signup_complete” event fired on button tap, not on API success. Fixing that cut our “activation” vanity metric by about a fifth — and made weekly reviews calmer.

Naming grammar clinic finally stopped our iOS and Android teams inventing parallel verbs.

Governance cadence module was useful. Mild reservation: the privacy session moves quickly if your legal partner is not in the room — we had to replay the recording twice.

We came for taxonomy and stayed for the release-gate checklist. Module 5’s change-log template is now in our PR description by default.

Case note: marketplace activation

A Thailand marketplace squad joined Grid Protocol after paid acquisition looked healthy while retention slides disagreed. During Signal Inventory they catalogued 214 events; 41 were unused in any dashboard.

In Funnel Integrity Lab they rebuilt three journeys: first list, first offer, first payout. Device QA caught a duplicate “offer_created” from an analytics middleware retry. After deprecating 28 legacy events and assigning owners, their weekly product review used one shared funnel definition for six consecutive weeks.

They did not adopt Lane Mastery; the cohort seat was enough. Their remaining gap — warehouse joins — sat outside Signal Gridlane’s scope, which they noted as an honest limit.

Case note: subscription onboarding

A two-person product analytics pair used Signal Map materials first, then upgraded to a Pair Seat. Their win was smaller: a property contract for plan_tier that stopped marketing from mixing trial and paid cohorts. Timeline: four weeks from first clinic to a merged taxonomy PR.
