Flagship course
App Event Signal Architecture
A structured path through Event Tracking Strategy for Apps — from naming grammar to release gates — designed for product, data, and mobile engineering pairs.
Ask about the next cohortLearning outcomes
- Draft a taxonomy charter covering verbs, objects, and identity rules
- Map ownership so every critical event has a named reviewer
- Build a pre-release QA script that catches double fires and missing props
- Document retention-relevant sequences without over-instrumenting screens
- Align consent and retention notes with Thailand-facing product flows
Who it fits
Squads shipping consumer or fintech apps who already have an SDK but no shared dictionary. You should bring at least one person who can ship a tracking change.
Limitation: this course does not replace a full data-warehouse modeling curriculum.
Modules
- Signal inventory — audit what you already fire and which dashboards quietly lie.
- Naming grammar clinic — verbs, objects, and property contracts that survive redesigns.
- Identity & session edges — anonymous to known, multi-device seams, and reset cases.
- Funnel Integrity Lab — instrument three journeys and validate on device.
- Governance cadence — lightweight reviews, deprecation, and change logs.
- Privacy-aware shipping — consent points, retention windows, and vendor handoffs.
Instructor
Arisa Chaiwat
Former product analytics lead for Southeast Asian consumer apps. Arisa has rebuilt event dictionaries for three mobile stacks and now teaches Signal Gridlane’s live cohorts from Bangkok.

FAQ
Do we need a specific analytics vendor?
No. Examples reference common mobile SDKs, but the grammar and QA patterns are vendor-agnostic.
How much engineering time is required?
Plan for a few hours of instrumentation homework each week. Without an engineer, you can still draft the taxonomy, but you will not complete the Funnel Integrity Lab fully.
What is a real limitation of this course?
We do not teach warehouse modeling, reverse ETL, or marketing attribution deep-dives. If your bottleneck is dbt models rather than app events, this is the wrong fit.
Are sessions recorded?
Live cohorts receive recordings for enrolled seats for 90 days. Studio intensives are not recorded unless agreed in writing.
Learner notes
Module 4 forced us to watch events fire on a physical Android device. We found a “purchase_success” that ran before the receipt API — that alone paid for the seat.
Arisa’s ownership map template stuck. Our limitation: we still struggle when contractors invent events outside the charter.
